Ping Baseball Tabs Bryant as All-America

After picking up second and third team All-America honors earlier in the week, Troy University shortstop Adam Bryant was named to the Ping! Baseball.com All-American team for 2010 as a first teamer.

The junior was named to the 2010 Pro-Line Athletic/NCBWA Division I All-America second team earlier this week and was a third team selection by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper last week.

Bryant, a native of Pensacola, Fla., finished the 2010 season with a .356 batting average, 16 doubles, six triples and 23 homers, driving in 65 runs. His 23 bombs were the second most on the Ping! first team, behind only Rice's Anthony Rendon, who had 28.

Bryant was joined on the Ping! first team by the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year Garrett Wittles of FIU. Western Kentucky senior pitcher Matt Ridings was named to the Ping! Baseball All-American third team.
